Can I arrive early to set up?

There is a 30 minute buffer between parties, you may arrive up to 20 minutes early. Note that staff will be in the room with you cleaning from the previous party.

What happens if we have extra kids?

Private parties are unlimited and the below does not apply. For regular parties we limit the sandbox to 30 kids or it becomes to crowded. If you purchased a 10 kid party and expect 12 kids, you will need to purchase an additional 2 tickets in advance. We are usually sold out on the weekends so do not expect to get extra tickets at the door. Please warn your guests not to bring siblings or extra kids without warning you, as that is a common source of tension when we are at capacity.

How long are the parties?

Each party lasts two hours total. That includes 2 hours in the sandbox and party rooms that you can hop between as you see fit. Though arriving a little early is fine, please ask your guests to leave at the parties scheduled conclusion so we may begin cleaning and setting up for the next party.

What size party should I choose?

The major difference between the 10 person package and the 20 person package is the size of the room. The 10 person package includes access to the small party room (half of the full space with the partition closed), while the 20 person package includes access to the entire large party room with the partition open. A party of more than 10 children is going to start to feel very cramped in the small party room, so we do recommend upgrading to the 20 person package if you have more than 10 kids attending. But that decision is completely up to you. You do have the option to book the 10 person package and then buy additional play passes for the additional children. If you choose to do it that way, we recommend reserving those extra tickets in advance, because we often sell out and we cannot guarantee those tickets would still be available the day of your event.

The private party is for hosts that prefer to have the whole store dedicated to their guests without sharing with other parties or walk-ins.

Can we have music?

If you book a private party, we can setup the speaker system and let you connect to it and play anything you like. For regular parties, we do not play music as the majority of parents have indicated they prefer the calm environment with no music.

Is my prefered date and time available?

Go to the top of our website and click “Book Now.” Once you select the size birthday party you are interested in, it will give you a calendar that shows our availability to choose from. You may also see the food, drink, and entertainer pricing on the page following the date/time selection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours of operation?

We are open from 9 AM to 6 PM every day of the week.

Is there a time limit for play sessions?

Yes, each play pass provides two hours of playtime. However, if we aren't super busy don't worry about staying longer if you are having a good time. However, if you see the sold out sign on the door, please depart as scheduled.

How does membership work?

With an active membership, you can visit as often as you like without paying an additional entrance fee—just provide your phone number at check-in and enjoy your time!

Memberships are linked to the purchasing adult and up to two additional named adults on the plan, rather than the child. You are welcome to bring children who are not your own, as long as their legal guardian has completed and signed a waiver.

The additional named adults must be a legal guardian, grandparent, or nanny.

Example: If you purchase a 3-child plan, you may attend with any 3 children without incurring extra fees. If you bring 4 children, you would need to purchase an additional play pass or upgrade to a 4-child plan.

Can I bring outside food and drinks?

Yes! However, please follow the below rules:

  • No homemade items. This is a DeKalb dept of health rule.
  • No alcohol, we are infront of a school and GA law prohibits even BYOB at our proxmitiy.
  • Nothing with a scent strong enough to distract the other guests.
  • No common allergens, such as nuts.
  • Do I need to make a reservation?

General admission is available without a reservation—just come on in! However, reservations guarantee your spot in the event we hit capacity. Our sandbox allows a maximum of 30 children to ensure everyone’s comfort. Reservations are especially recommended on weekends and mornings. You can check the current capacity online by hitting the "Book Now" button and browsing to your desired date/time to see how many tickets have been purchased out of 30.

Birthday parties must be scheduled in advance using the "Book Now" button above.

How safe and clean is the sandbox?

We use the highest quality volleyball sand, which is a higher grade than normal play sand and is specifically graded and screened to be the softest and cleanest sand possible with almost no dust. We also clean and disinfect the sand, toys, and surfaces daily and throughout the day as needed. We don't like getting sick either.

Can I drop my child off or do I need to be there to supervise?

We will one day offer a drop-off service, but for now, an adult must be present to supervise their child at all times.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, on or before your first visit, as required by our insurance. It must also be signed by a parent or legal gardian, nanny's and other relatives are not allowed per our insurance policy. You can do it online using the "Sign Waiver" button above or fill it out during check-in using our on-site terminals. We recommend doing it online on your phone, as your browser can auto-complete the fields much quicker than typing it in on our tablet screens.

    What are the rules?

Adults must be present to help enforce the rules and ensure their child is playing nicely with others.

    • No food, drink, candy, gum, etc., in the sandbox.
    • No throwing sand, running, or screaming. Throwing sand at another child may result in being asked to leave, especially if it gets in their eyes or after the first warning. Eye wash stations and protective glasses are available, but prevention is always our goal.
    • No shoes or socks allowed in the sandbox; cubbies are provided near the sandbox to keep footwear.
    • NO MIXING THE DIFFERENT SANDS. Ever tried sorting kinetic sand from fluidized sand? We have, and it is not fun! :)

    Are you disability-friendly?

Yes! This is the perfect type of play for children with various disabilities, and we will do everything in our power to ensure they have a great experience. If you see an area we can improve, please let us know!

Are adults allowed in the sand?

Yes! Feel free to join in on the fun with your kids. Kids are required though, unless you book a private party.

    Are there age requirements?

Though we designed the sandbox for younger kids, children of any age can play as long as they are kind, gentle, and respectful of everyone in the sandbox. We have kinetic sandboxes available for kids who would enjoy more advanced play like building sandcastles or creating sand art.

    Do babies need a ticket?

Anyone under 18 who interacts with the sand needs a waiver and a play pass. If it's a newborn that is going to stay in a lap or car seat the entire time, no ticket is needed. If they are going to touch or sit in the sand, a ticket is needed.

What if my kid gets sand in their eyes?

No throwing sand is one of the rules we enforce, but to be honest the vast majority of the time a kid gets sand in their eyes it's because they accidently flung it into their own face. This is a great place to learn hand eye coordination! We have saftey glasses available at the front desk for prevention. We also have an eye wash kit, though the vast majority of the time the kids wipe it off, blink a few times, and are back to playing in just a few minutes. Our sand is softer/rounder and less jagged than regular sand so it's not as painful as we remember as kids.

What if a kid is misbehaving?

We have 10 dump trucks, yet somehow three kids will still argue over the same one while the other nine sit nearby. Kids, right? Isaac’s Sandlot is a great place to practice cooperation and sharing. We ask parents to keep an eye out and help settle disputes fairly if it looks like the kids have reached an impasse. If a child throws sand or causes distress, we will remind them of the rules and ask their guardian to help enforce them. Please flag us if you see something before we do. Every kid has rough days. If parents are doing their best to coach and correct, we will give them space to parent. If a parent is not attentive or is unwilling to address behavior that affects others, we will ask them to leave.
